My printer is working OK documents but when I try

My printer is working OK for copying documents but when I try to print from the computer it shows "printer not ready for printing"

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).
Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

I have put the lead into another port on the computer and turned off the power to the printer. Still the same note about the printer not being ready

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted.
We have ruled out all other causes for this
