Athough I,ve checked the power cable, there dose"nt seem to be any power getting to the Printer.Should I be able to fix this problem?

There is no light on the A.C ADAPTOR but the panel on the printer stays turned off

Do you have a multi meter. If yes then check the voltage at the connector of the power cord which goes into the printer.

There can be fault in the Ac adapter or in the printer's internal circuitry of the printer. Since you don't have a multi meter we cannot detect the problem whether it is with adapter or printer. I would suggest you to either arrange one or take it to a local repair shop.
