There is no need to pay anything further JulietCan you while the recorder is powered on, open the flap at the front and hold the channel up and down buttons for 6 seconds then release. This will reset the recorder. Then follow the onscreen steps to set it up again and tell me how it now functions please.

It just says incompatible tv system. When I push the play button it says no play. I have tried another DVD and it works. Why does it only work on some DVDs?

ok, but Juliet, did it Reset, I really need to know if you were able to do my instructions or not?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I pressed the channel buttons for 6 seconds and reset the recorder. Maybe I am not doing it right?
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
If it reset then you did it correctlyIt confirms the issue which is the internal memory that has faulted, its not operating correctly as it cannot read from the memory. A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to reinstall it. I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the unit to have the mainboard replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you. I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know. And if you can take a second to rate my service by clicking one of the stars at the top of the page, then submit, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
