We have a new Samsung Galaxy A3 mobile phone, and have input

Resolved Question:

We have a new Samsung Galaxy A3 mobile phone, and have input date etc. After inputting the date and time, a message popped up asking for the pin number. We have tried most normal default codes 1234 / 1111 / 9999 none of which work, and we are now stuck! What is the normal default code, and why has it asked for this?
Thank you

Hi Frances. Welcome to justanswer. Which mobile carrier are you using?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
We are on a Government contract with EE (they have tried to advise but couldn't help other than list the most common default numbers)

Remove your sim card and turn on your device again without a sim. And check. Is it sill asking for pin?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yep! It's still asking for a pin.
