I have an Epson WF 2630 Printer which I have been using a

Resolved Question:

I have an Epson WF 2630 Printer which I have been using for about a year. Today I needed to
change the black ink cartridge. Whatever I do the Print Head will not move from its covering and the flat white cable which should drag it, remains static. So not possible to change ink cartridge. Please advise.

The video is for the WF 2530 not the 2630. Configuration is completely different therefor of no help.
Unable to get to "change ink" on my led screen.
Not sure if there is any point in continuing this dialogue.
Certainly don't want to sign up to £20 a month deal. Is this a scam ?

OK sorry about scam remark.
I have switched off and on again, no Replace Ink message but I have had Black Ink low warning in the past, and my last efforts at printing came out with no black print at all.

Okay.

Turn On your printer and press the up or down arrow button to select Setup and press the OK button. Then select Maintenance > Ink Cartridge(s) Replacement and press one of the Start buttons.

OK have turned on again and what's on my screen is"WI-FI setup". Pressing up and down doesn't get me to Setup only more
WiFi stuff/setup wizard/connect to network etc.

You should get an option of INK CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT under maintenance.

Press Back and again select Maintenance and tell me what options do you see when you press down arrow.

I can't get back to maintenance, I seem to be stuck in default. I'm getting pretty bored of all this,
not your fault, a combination of a crap printer and my incompetence. I'll happily pay £20 charge.
But can you recommend a reliable and simple printer that doesn't cost a fortune in ink ? The Epson
has always given me problems and I've spent much more on troubleshooting than the machine
originally cost.

You can choose from Canon or HP. Here is a comparison. CLICK HERE.

They are quite easy to handle.

If you want to get out then press Home. And then do to setup by using down arrow key. Once you reach setup, press ok.

Then again down arrow until you reach Maintenance. Then again press OK.

Now press down arrow and you will get Ink Cartridge Replacement. Select it by pressing Ok and the press Start.

You will then get the message to Open the Scanner unit. Once you open it, you will see cartridges on the right side. Just remove the one which you want to replace.
