Resolved Question:

DMC TZ70 how to switch between stills and video and ensure sound is on

Hi Anne,

When in any mode, to take a still photo press and release the large shutter button.

To take a video in any mode, press and release the smaller Motion button to start recording, then press and release it again to stop recording. The sound will always be on when recording, unless you go into the menu settings and turn it off.

I have a wedding later, I'm stressing...........
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I looked at the Beep menu and settings and am searching through the online manual for sound but not finding it. I know where the sound outlets are

How old is the camera?

Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.

The small microphone holes are on top of the camera, just behind the lens - check that they are not blocked with any fluff, etc.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it's pretty new, no fluff, tested it. Where's the sound on off settings pls
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If i talk right into it I can hear on video. Is there a volume control somewhere? cheers
Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.

There isn't any volume control. It will only record sounds close up.

If you plan to record a wedding ceremony at a distance, this camera will not record the audio from the proceedings.

oh. cheers. I'll get someone else to rec audio

By the way, the microphone picked up the speech (not very loudly) as it was via a mike and I was reasonably close....
