Have you tried to unplug TV power cord from wall outlet for 10 minutes to reset, replug back in and check?

OK, 4 times flashing power light indicates problem with main board of TV and replacement of main board will resolve the problem. Since TV is approx 8 years old (2008 model) so it would be tough to get replacement main board, however, check with following board supplier to see if they can get it for you..

I'm sorry there is no easy or quick fix for this problem and it is definitely hardware failure that needs defective board replacement to resolve the issue.
