Hi. Welcome to justanswer.

Try booting the phone in safe mode and then check if the issue is still there or not.

For that, press and hold the power button when screen is on so that the option of POWER OFF appears on the screen. Then again TOUCH AND HOLD the power off option on the screen so that the option to boot in safe mode appears on the screen.

Select it and the phone will restart. Now check by making a call if the issue is still there or not.

Reply for further assistance.

Option to reboot is not coming up when I hold the power off button
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 1 year ago.

Then how do you turn off your phone?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The power off button will turn the phone off but if I hold it on the screen it does not give me a re boot option it just goes yellow and does nothing

Then try doing the factory reset. But it will wipe off all the data.

Go to settings. Then Backup and Restore. Then factory reset.
