I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray player DMP-BD84EB-K. The power

Customer Question

I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray player DMP-BD84EB-K. The power lead provided from the Blu-Ray player to the electric plug is 1.22 metres. I want a longer lead. I want one which is 1.83 metres. The AC Adaptor plug states on it that it is Model No SAE003.
Can you advise how I can get a longer lead which will fit the Blu-Ray player at one e4nd and will have 3 pin plug at the other end to fit into normal socket.

Hello, I'm Shahid. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help. Required AC power lead is available at following supplier..

Please click above link to view the price and to order it. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask. If you're satisfied, please rate me a 5-star at the top of your page.
Thank you.

Hello ShahidThank you but the lead you directed me to is no good. I have taken 2 photos of the 1.20 meter lead I have and you will see that the connection in this case is a single (I think you describe it this way) female connector. On the back of the Blu-Ray box where this connector goes it says DC IN 12V. The instruction manual says the AC Adaptor is SAE0003. Please advise where I can order the 1.83 meter AC Adaptor lead which will have the correct female connector on it. Thank you. John Revell

DMP-BD84EB is model number mentioned in question and related manual shows the same cable that I provided the link in previous reply.

Can you please recheck model number of your Bluray player?
Thanks.

I was working previously on the model number given on the 3 pin plug as that was what I had been advised to do. Looking at the DVD itself the model number is DMP-BD84. Does that help? ...and sorry if I gave misleading information before

Let me check the number, give me 5 minutes please.

I'm afraid there is no such power adapter available having that long wire, however, you can use extension lead as shown in below link to plug the power adapter into and plug the lead into wall socket.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Elec-3m-Gang-Extension-Lead/dp/B00N8W33XI/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1470419432&sr=1-2-fkmr0&keywords=DMP-BD84E+power+cord+extension

I hope these info will help. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask. If you're satisfied, please rate me a 5-star at the top of your page.
Thank you.

Thanks but I considered an extension lead at the outset and may be forced to go back to it but for various practical reasons I would prefer to extend the AC Adaptor. Is it possible with the AC Adaptor lead to purchase a short (0.60 meter) lead that the one I have could connect to (? female/male connection) and then at the other end have the female connector like the one at the end of the lead I already have? So the lead from the DVD to the electric socket would be made up of 2 connecting leads.

Not so short length but quite a few bit lenghthy extension wires having male/female DC pins are available at following amazon link..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=dc+male+to+dc+female+extension

I hope these info will help. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.

Thank You.

Thanks ...this looks promising but there is a wide choice for different items and I feel confused!. Can you please advise which item precisely (shortest length possible) I need to purchase ie which tem will connect to the DVD and at other end to the lead I have. Thank you.
Expert:  Shahid replied 5 months ago.

Thanks ShahidI have ordered the lead (I had to order 2 ironically). I will find out on Monday week if it does what I want it to as that is when the DVD is going to be connected up. Thank you for your helpJohn
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Hello ShahidI ordered the cable you said would be suitable for the connection and it has arrived but it is not. Neither end connects to the co0nnections it has to. I will now have to send it back and hope I can get a refund.
I do not want to be sent chasing other sites in the forlorn hope that may help. I have given you the precise details of the Blu Ray model. I have just spoken to Panasonic and they only do a 1.20 meter cable so to get the length I want you would have to have a suitable connection. I am afraid I do not think you are able to say where I can get such a cable and sadly as you are not able to assist me at alI I would like the £20 fee I paid to be refunded. Please can you arrange this. Thank you . John
