I have an A3 2400s scanner which has developed 'graunching'

Resolved Question:

I have an A3 2400s scanner which has developed 'graunching' noises when at the start and end of a scan. Is lubrication needed on the steel rod that the scanning head unit moves along? If not, then where! - Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Yes, the rod will need lubricating with silicon grease.

If any dirt or debris has got trapped under the head unit it will be difficult to clean out and may require disassembly.

Pete.
