From Mr Mike Hughes, I have been trying to update Microsoft Security Essentials. The system tries to update then stops when the linier pointer is about a quarter of the way across. It seems that the system of update is frozen out at that point. Could you please advise how I can resolve the problem? I am not an IT expert but I can get by so to speak.

No I do not wish to be securely connected. 2 Years ago I did that which resulted in me having to have my computer rebuilt. No reflection on yourself but now extra wary.

It came up with the fact that it is already installed. But because that the app installed before installing this new one/app was beacause it was frozen out . Should I now close down then uninstall that what is already in the system and then reload the app from Microsoft support ???
