Customer Question

When I try to listen to radio stations from the Internet on a Galaxy S6 on my car radio via Bluetooth the last track That I played on the music player begins to play as well in the background even though it had been fully closed down. The music player itself and the phone connect perfectly each time as does the Internet when I close down the player after it starts to play

Hi Martin. Welcome to justanswer.

Is the music being played via Google Play Music app?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
The happens with the Google Play Music app and the Samsung music player
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Go to Settings, then under Apps, you will find Music player app listed. Just click it and choose uninstall new updates and then check the issue

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Have u installed updates but will not be able to check out how it works tonight; car not available
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Have you any other suggestions?
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Okay reply when you get time.

Try closing the music player app from Task Manager

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Where is Task Manager
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Settings, Application Manager, swipe to the "Running" section and then close it from the there

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No Running tab in my applications manager. The options it gives are:
Show system apps
Apps that can appear on top
Change system settings
Recent application preferences. Can't see how any of these will help
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Under Settings, do you see APPLICATIONS option?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Select it

Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Then swipe right till you see Running Apps list

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Done that
2 sub options
APPLICATION MANAGER6
Default applications
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

No it won't be there. Long press the home key and see if you get task manager or not

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No task manager when home key is pressed
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Then switch off and then on your phone once before you try to connect to bluetooth. This will delete any opened apps or temporary data of app. Then test if you still get the same issue or not

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Where is Task Master on Galaxy Street 6?
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Galaxy s6 changed the task manager with Smart Manager and Recent App button.

Thank you. Switching off the phone each time I enter the car seems a bit drastic. I will try tomorrow without updates and see how it works. Not hopeful. Seems a retrograde step to go back to anormal earlier system. Surely upgrades are improvements?
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Check if there is any update available for your phone.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Fully up to date
Expert:  nathan_mills replied 11 months ago.

Try the switching off/on thing. If it works then let me know. If it works then I will give you a fix that won't be this much time consuming.
