Can you please remove the power to the TV (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then on the actual TV, hold the power button for 60 seconds then release.

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the TV, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

yes, but when you can, can you remove the batteries from the remote and tell me if this stops it please

Ok so took the batteries out of sky and tv control and nothing happened Put them back and volume came down to 0 and seemed to be making an effort going up and down on its own and is now back to 0 where it remains

ok, are you still able to get to the menu on the TV?

The sky remote does every thing it's supposed to do except the volume I can get the menu on sky but not the other

ok, the issue is then with the TV

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted, this now confirms it.
