I have a Canon printer, model MP560. A message is displayed

Resolved Question:

I have a Canon printer, model MP560. A message is displayed on the flip up screen, as follows.
B200. Printer error has occurred. Unplug the power cord and contact the service center.
The lights on the front of the machine are flashing alternately between green and orange.
I have now unplugged the machine.
Can you help?

Hi Mick,

My name is***** will try my best to help you with your question.

The B200 error indicates a fault with the power supply. The following method can sometimes resolve it:

1. Turn OFF the Power.
2. Open the print head bay (as though you were about to change inks).
3. Turn ON power.
4. Wait for print carriage to start moving to the left and let it go past half way.
5. Before print carriage reaches left hand side (but after going halfway across) shut the cover.
6. Leave the Printer turned on.
7. It should now print normally again.

Thanks Pete, the printer looks as though it is working. The display is telling me that the large black ink cartridge needs to be replaced. I don't have one in my stock so I can't print until I purchase one tomorrow but I am satisfied that the machine is runnig correctly.
