Resolved Question:

My Epsom XP 750 printer scanner is sitting right next to my MacBook Pro. Usually I can scan Ok. Because my computer name is ***** ***** the Select Computer screen but now it only shows Last Used and it says that no computer is connected even though I can print OK. How can I scan?

Hi ,

My name is***** am sorry to hear that you are having this issue.

I will be glad to assist you with this.

Check for a software update from the Mac.

choose Apple () > System Preferences… and then choose View > Print & Scan. Click the + (plus) icon below the Printers pane on the left and select the Canon printer.

After you connect to your scanner, run Software Update to check for the latest third-party printer / scanner software and updates.

Let me know how it goes please.

did that work for you?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I am afraid not. The printer still asks to be connected to a computer - even though it happily responds to print commands from the computer.

I did that OK (I think - in went rather quickly..).What now?I am still not able to scan.

follow these steps:

  1. Place the item(s) you would like to scan on the scanner bed.
  2. Open Image Capture by clicking Launchpad in the Dock and typing Image Capture in the search field.
    • A folder of your choosing. A number of folders are already pre-configured or choose "Other…" to select the folder you want.
