My camera is a Sony ILCE- 5000L purchased about 1 year ago.

Resolved Question:

My camera is a Sony ILCE- 5000L purchased about 1 year ago. On holiday in Europe during July this year it developed a continuous dotted line running vertically from top to bottom of the LCD screen. This does not present in the actual picture. Is this repairable?

Hi Robert. Welcome to justanswer.

Did you drop the camera or did it get wet somewhere during your holiday?

How old is your camera?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Hi, no it was not dropped or damaged in any other way and did not suffer from any water ingress. The camera is only twelve months old but unfortunately I have mislaid the receipt, it was bought at an Argos store.

Robert this is an LCD fault and over the time the dark spots/line will start increasing. If the camera is still under warranty then you can get it repaired for free.

The LCD screen will be replaced as it is not repaired and it will cost you around £80.
