Hi Joyce,

Could you provide the Panasonic model number please?

Is it a DVD disc or Video Tape that is stuck?

Regards,

Rich

Hi Joyce,

Have you pressed the Open/Close button on the front of the unit, top right corner next to the Disc Tray?

Rich

Hi Richard, tried this several times, no luck, I think it's beyond help. It's still firmly closed. Thanks Joyce.

Hi Joyce,

Firstly, I trust the unit is plugged into the mains and switched on when you try to press the open/close button?

Assuming it is, try pressing the VHS/DVD Select button on the remote control to select DVD (DVD shows on units display) and then try pressing the open/close button.

By the way are you able to play the DVD that's stuck in the unit?

Regards,

Rich

Hi Joyce,

Can you try this procedure please:

1. Press and hold the power on/off button on the front panel until the unit switches to standby. Be patient, it takes about 10 seconds.
2. Now it's in standby, press and hold the Stop and Channel Up buttons on the front panel until the disc is ejected. This takes about 5 seconds.

Regards,

Rich
