I have a Delonghi DFS, it will not heat up, I have replaced

Customer Question

Hello,
I have a Delonghi DFS, it will not heat up, I have replaced the elements (I am electrically qualified) but it still won't heat up.
The fans work and the gas burners.
The red indicator light will not stay on when an option is selected

Hi Dave, I assume you are not getting any current to the terminals of the element?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.

Yes James that is correct

Next thing I would check is the thermostat, a continuity test should be sufficient.

Then you need to go back to the PCB and see if your getting power to the PCB, my guess is either the thermostat is faulty or you have a faulty PCB.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi

The thermostat TOC just measures zero ohms?

I haven't time to measure the thermostat at the moment as it is harder to get to.

I might change the TOC as they are £10 and the thermostat £36 what do you think?

Cheers

Dave

Sounds like the TOC is open circuit, so this sounds like it could be the fault, certainly the area I would be looking at.

Hi Dave,

Just wanted to follow up to see if you have decided to replace the TOC, and did were you able to check the thermostat?
