This error means there is a problem between the CPU and the timer.

Press and hold Record and power for 10 seconds.

Does this clear the error?

Can you open the flap on the front of the unit and hold both the channel up and down buttons for 7 seconds then release.

Once done, if it asks you to set it up on the TV, do so then tell me if it clears the error.

It is the CPU that has faulted.

A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to reinstall it in two different ways.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the unit to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
