Resolved Question:

I have an old Sony HCD-101 CD Receiver that won't keep the disc in. It displays the TOC Reading and then ejects. I have tried various CDs and they are all ejected. Is there an easy answer?

Hi Mike,

This can happen if the reading lens is dirty and it cannot read the disc.

Try running a cleaning disc in the machine and let me know if that works?

Thanks Pete. I have just sent out for a CD lens cleaner disc and will report to you when I have tried it.

Hi Pete, I've now tried a cleaning disc and there is still no progress. The reader accepts the disc and clicks for 30 secs and ejects the disc just as a music CD does. I don't think the disc is turning once it is inserted. Any further suggestions?
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Pete I meant to say that the disc is not turning once it is inserted.
