As promised here is what you need to do to get a signal to the recorder

First click this link and open up the document to use for reference (I will tell you the page numbers to go to)

You need to connect the Antenna cable to the Antenna In port which is labelled 8 on page 10 of the document on my link below

Then you need to connect the Antenna Out port to your TV, which is labelled as channel 9
Once done, the recorder now has a signal and you can once again record using the REC button.
