Hi, welcome and thank you for your question. My name is Jess and I am glad to assist you today.

When are you getting that box? When you open an email program like MS Outlook 2007 or 2010?

Please let me know so that I can help you further.

Best regards,
Jess

John,

Thank you for writing back. Please confirm the scenario so that I can provide exact procedures.

Are you getting the password when you open your web browser like Internet Explorer? Or when you open your email program called Microsoft Outlook?

John,

Is the pop up box similar to this image below?

If it is so, what exactly is set in the box for "Server"?

Jess
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes it is the same

Expert:  Jess M. replied 3 years ago.
But what is written there in the Server box? Is it also "pop.bizmail.yahoo.com"? Please check the pop up box that you have now and tell me what is listed in the Server box.

smtp.gmail.com

John,

Thank you for that confirmation. Are you using Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010? I need that information so that the procedures will be exact to the version of Outlook that you are using.

Also, are you using an email account ending with @gmail.com?

Jess

I think it is but might be wrong there. I am a pensioner and not always sure.

Expert:  Jess M. replied 3 years ago.
Ok. In your Microsoft Outlook, are you using an email account ending with @gmail.com?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes

Expert:  Jess M. replied 3 years ago.
Are you using several email addresses in your Outlook? Or only the one ending with @gmail.com?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Only the gmail address

Expert:  Jess M. replied 3 years ago.

Yes I can

John,

In your MS Outlook (not the web-based gmail), are you able to send and receive emails despite the pop up? Or are you unable to do anything because of the pop up?

Jess

No. no emails since Friday are shown at all

Expert:  Jess M. replied 3 years ago.
But are you able to SEND emails? Or you are getting the pop up when you are trying to send?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Have not sent any for a few days so cannot answer that one

Expert:  Jess M. replied 3 years ago.
Hi John,

Thank you for your patience. Please do the following steps:
  1. Close your MS Outlook. (Make sure that close MS Outlook before you proceed)
  2. When it is closed, click on Start button (the circular button with Microsoft logo) and then in the Search box, type: Credential
  3. In the results shown, click on Credential Manager. See my screen shots:

  4. In the dialog box that opens, scroll down and locate "generic credentials" section.
  5. Did you see any entry there with "Outlook" in the name? Or did you see your Gmail listed there?
  6. If you see them, click on each, then click on "Remove from vault".
  7. Then close that credential manager dialog box.
  8. This time, open Outlook 2007
  9. If it asks for a password, enter the password and check for it to "remember the password".
  10. That should stop the pop up from showing up.

Please remember to rate my service positively (3-5 stars/faces) once you have all the information you need. Tips are always highly appreciated!
