Ok but you are able to get the code via mobile?
If you are you should be able to get back into the account.
There is a trick with this, you need to input the code you receive through your mobile right away or it expires and wont work.
Also you may be confused if you have tried a number of times as to which code to enter.
As long as you are able to get the code you should be able to reset it so please try the following.
Go to this link https://account.live.com/password/reset
Enter your email address and the squiggly letters you are shown.
Next choose to have the code sent to your mobile, it should arrive in a couple of seconds and it will say Microsoft account password reset code:
Enter this code in the box exactly how it appears.
Now you also have the option of having the code given to you by them calling your phone. To do this, on the password reset page just click the down arrow next to your phone number and choose call instead of text.
Remember you need to enter the code right away.
