Welcome, I am Cory. I will be assisting you today.

I am sorry your AOL address was hacked.

Can you still access it?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I am not sure if I can access my aol account - [email protected]
Expert:  Cory replied 2 years ago.
William,

Please try to access it and let me know.

Yes I can still access my ail account
Expert:  Cory replied 2 years ago.
William,

This is good, as it makes it easier to work with.

Please follow the steps below to secure your account.

First,
Please change your password. - https://account.login.aol.com/_cqr/opr/opr.psp
Make it strong. 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number. Example: Mickey1

Once you change your password, the hacker will no longer have access.

Second,
Please change your secret question. - https://bill.aol.com/SPortal/jsp/change_asq.jsp

Third,
Please do not respond to emails that look like they are from AOL asking for your account information. They will never do this and is how hackers/spammers access your account.

Last,

You want to run a Malware/Virus scan (Windows Only)

Please click http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=dropDownForm;productListing;pop

Click Download Now in green on the left.

Once you install it, you will see the box you want to uncheck next to 'Enable free trial of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro'. Leave the other 2 boxes checked and click Finish.

Please Update and then run a Quick Scan and Delete any Malware/Viruses.
It should take 25-35 minutes to complete.

If you have any questions, please reply and I will assist you.

Unfortunately I failed to answer my favourite pet question - and could not find another security question to answer. So my request to change my password was denied even though I supplied my original password and passed copying the security numbers. Any help?
Expert:  Cory replied 2 years ago.
William,

Is this a free or paid AOL account?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
II pay aol monthly
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I have a monthly account with aol.
Expert:  Cory replied 2 years ago.
William,

Please contact AOL support at 0844 499 5555 in the UK.

Because you pay monthly, they will help you access your account again.

Once you get access to the account, please follow the steps below to secure your account:

First,
Please change your password. - https://account.login.aol.com/_cqr/opr/opr.psp
Make it strong. 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number. Example: Mickey1
