What you need to do Diana is the following

Select Pop3

And use these settings

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - mail.btinternet.com
Port - 110

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - mail.btinternet.com
Port - 25

Save this and it should then work for you.

I can't get past the incoming mail, it still can't finish set up. The security says none, should I enter the wifi secure code?

Are you sure the Lava Tablet is connected to the internet Diana?

they aren't wrong. I have rechecked them several times & I am logged on to my email on the PC

ok, if you are sure, then use these settings and tell me if this allows you to connect please

Incoming server settings
IMAP server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
Port - 143
Security type - none

Outgoing Server settings
SMTP server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port - 25
Security type - none

Also important note - Enable 'require sign-in'
and enter your talk21 username and password

what program are you using on your computer to access your email account?

www.talk21.com which then changes to uk-mg-bt.mail.yahoo.com

ok, then the initial settings I gave are correct.

But use these different ports.

Select Pop3

And use these settings

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - mail.btinternet.com
Port - 993

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - mail.btinternet.com
Port - 465

ok, so they are the correct settings I originally gave

And you get incorrect username with this correct?

ok, go to the Google Play Store.

Search for the App K9 Mail.

Download and install it and try to connect within this email app (it is free)

I have tried downloadingApp K9 Mail & it says Parse Error. I haven't a clue what it means & am fast giving up the idea of getting my email on my tablet.
