Having accessed my new gmail.com account ok to yesterday I

Resolved Question:

Having accessed my new gmail.com account ok to yesterday I now cannot get into it as a new sign in boxes come up with an old yahoo account details. This had been hacked and I have cancelled it 4 times with yahoo. I put in my gmail and get the reply it is already used [of course it is, by me!]. So at the moment I cannot get into my gmail account.

If it is saying it is already in use, it means by accident you are trying to create a new account, not sign in (hence the message that it is already in use).

Go to the Gmail sign in Page, click on Add Account and there enter in the correct Gmail address and password. Then click on Sign in.

Does not work. I will explain again. I have just clicked gmail login where I already have a gmail account so when I tried your suggestion I get the message account already exists and will not let me proceed. I have not 'accidently' done anything. I go to google search put in gmail, press button and rather than open my existing account it asks me to add an account and then refuses to let me because it already exists?

cllr. email is a work one - when I tried to run it again to get password XXXXX received message that I was not authorised to run it.
