Hi and welcome. I'm Ansh and today, I will be trying my best to solve your issue.
Are you on the same computer now?
Which browser are you using?
Internet Explorer 11
Can I fix it up for you remotely.
What do you mean?
I mean connecting to your computer and fix it while you wtch
No - for obvious security reasons
do one thing, bring up windows live mail
right click on your account and click properties
Go to advanced tab
check "leave messages on server" checkbox
Good, press apply ok
now send yourself a mail and see if you gets it in outlook
Have sent - am waiting
ok, press the send receive button
press the send/receive button once
Not appeared in Outlook. Have just opened up Live Mail and they immediately came down
It should appear in outlook
as it's in server
Doesn't though. It is as if the default for receiving emails remains Live Mail
Can you check and test your settings in outlook?
If all tests pass
click file > Account settings > account settings
double click on your email listed there and click test
Did that earlier today - the email goes to Live Mail account
Have you tested the settings?
I already told above:
Done that - Outlook says all ok and test email goes to Live Mail
Do one thing, exit Windwos live mail all together
now send a mail to yourself via outlook
now press Send, receive in outlook
But what happens is it wont come to Outlook but only to Live Mail
It should come
Wont - that is the problem
as windows live mail is off now, it won't be able to download the mail and delete it from server
Still the email wont come down to Outlook
Its a simple problem, it should be coming to outlook. If you permit me, I can fix it quickly via remote.
Remote is 100% safe and our company is providing support since 2003.
ok, in that case, I will not be able to proceed further.
If it is simple then tell me through this chat
That's the issue. I don't know what step are you missing.
If windows live mail is not deleting your message from server, there is no chance of outlook not receiving it
When all your outlook tests pass
Then perhaps it isn't simple problem.
It may be. May be there is something wrong with outlook settings
They were exported from Live Mail automatically when I migrated. They are correct against the ones given to me by the ISP
Ok, let me open this question for other experts who can help you without using remote session. Okay?
Ok. What do I do now?
Please wait for another expert to respond. Please do not leave me a rating as I am opting out. I am out of options. sorry
No. I have already said that I don't want someone that I don't know connecting remotely to my PC.
Ansh said that it was simple - in which case it can be handled over a chat
