I cant access my email due to having problems with following

I can't access my email due to having problems with following instructions to receive a security code from Microsoft. Now when I try to access my account, I receive a message, "You've requested too many emails. Try again tomorrow". In fact, these multiple requests were made yesterday (9 August). Please could you help me to get your security code and then start using my email account as normal again.

They sent a code to an alternative email account that I'd forgotten I had,let alone remember the password ***** it!

It was Microsoft who decided I needed a security Code - I didn't request it.

I am using windows 8.
