Could you tell me are you unable to enter the password ***** the phone?

Or is it the pin code for the SIM card perhaps?

Customer:

Do you know if you have a backup of the phone maybe?

Have you ever connected the phone to your computer?

Customer:

yes a few days ago

A. Stevens :

And were you able to unlock the phone at that time?

Customer:

problem has been obvious since

Could you try to restore the phone to the backup that you created a few days ago?

Customer:

don't understand

Since you had connected your phone a few days ago and backed it up.

A. Stevens :

You could restore that backup to your phone to try your password ***** you last remembered it.

A. Stevens :

Otherwise if you are unable to find the backup, you could try doing a factory reset of the phone.

This would erase all of the data on the phone though.

Also have you tried the default Nokia password ***** : 12345?

When you've connected your phone to your computer.

Do you connect it to any Nokia software?

phone has not been connected to the laptop not connected to any nokia software emails have been transferred from nokia 301 to laptop

I see...OK. Well then have you tried the 12345 password ?

Customer:

no

could you give that a try?

A. Stevens :

That's the defaut nokia password.

Customer:

tried it twice still not accepting password

A. Stevens :

So the next thing to do is attempt a factory reset.

A. Stevens :

As I had mentioned, this would delete all the data stored.

A. Stevens :

Are you able to get in to emergency calls?

Customer:

sorry don't want that to happen

A. Stevens :

If so then you would enter a code there to access the reset menu.

A. Stevens :

I understand..

A. Stevens :

Unfortunately without a backup this is the only option to get the phone working.

A. Stevens :

Otherwise you would just have to find a way to get the associated passcode.

Customer:

am I stumped then ?

A. Stevens :

I hate to tell you this, but unfortunately yes.

A. Stevens :

The only option would be to reset the phone.
