I have a question or two to ask before we can begin.

Who is your e-mail provider (Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc)?
-- When you type the full address on this site, it is blocked.
-- What comes after the @ sign?
Which program do you use to access your email (Outlook, Mac Mail, Entourage, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc)?

If you log into your email on the browser at mail.yahoo.com you have no emails. That means you have no emails.

On the phone, email yourself and then check to see if the email came though on your computer. Did it come through?

I am sorry that you are having problems with your email.
Since it has now been determined that you can neither send nor receive email from your Yahoo app on your phone, you need to go to Settings - Accounts and delete the account from your phone.
Then recreate the account using your yahoo email address and password ***** the Yahoo app. Please let me know what happens.

hello Joelk sorry not getting back sooner .I did delete my account & recreate a account but did not get any emails .deleted account again . have another email app & now getting my emails I would like to thank you &chris for youre help

What email app are you using now? Are you using the native app that came with your phone, and did you do a manual or automated account setup? The reason that I mentioned the Yahoo email app is that it is all automated, and some phone apps are not. I thought that the Yahoo app would be the best one to handle a Yahoo email account.
