how can i transfer my activation key to a new computer from my present computer
which i wish to discard as it is faulty. (I have the genuine windows 8.1 discs I purchased)
When loading the system on new computer, it says " activation key already used)
My microsoft account e mail is *****@******.***
My normal e.mail is [email protected]
Can supply my present licence code if you wish

I believed you missed the underlined part above that says YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED for the new key. The phone number is ***** paid services but they will waive it when you let them know that it is for a replacement key.
