My problem is when accessing my emails I got a Microsoft message

My problem is when accessing my emails I got a Microsoft message to change my account, this message popped up every time I tried to read my mail, after a LOT of struggling I managed to do it, but now I cant find my emails which is causing me a lot of concern as some are important, please can you help (can you keep it as simple as possible cos I struggle with all this technology)

Hi, we use Hotmail.co.uk and we (unfortunately) have windows8, sure we can do a remote support session if it gets my emails back where they belong.
