I HAVE AN Apple I pad and a lap top that both receive emails BUT if they go to my I pad they don't always go to my lap top. Can you help please

It looks like the iPad is set to remove emails after downloading.
I want you to check if you can do the following on the iPad
Under Settings->Account->Advanced->Delete from server-> and set it to Never
If you have done this, then send a test message and tell me please if you still have the problem.

don't understand your instructions, tey don't seem to follow. I go to account then advanced which has mail box behaviors with Drafts mailbox,sent m/b deleted m/b achive m/b then Move discarded messages into: ***** ***** Archivem/b, then deleted messages: Remove - never, then incoming settings, use SSL etc etc thenS/mime.

ok, this will be easier for you to do Bob.
Go to Settings, Mail, and press on the account and press Delete Account.
then hold the power and home button on the iPad until the apple logo shows, and release, allowing the iPad to restart.
Then go to Settings, Mail and add the email account again and tell me please if you still have the problem.

I won't know until I receive an email but I am not hopeful !!

I can send an email from my I pad to my lap top OK but am still receiving emails to my I pad that don't go to my Lap top unless I fwd them. Is the power and home button the same one?
