What is a desktop client?

Expert:  Joel Kalman replied 2 years ago.
Microsoft Outlook is a desktop client.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I think it is Microsoft Outlook.

Expert:  Joel Kalman replied 2 years ago.
Okay. Who is your email provider or your internet service provider? You can go to their website and get your mail directly from the email server.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

It's Google Chrome I use. Can you tell me how I go to their website?

Expert:  Joel Kalman replied 2 years ago.
If you have gmail, you can go to www.google.com and select the gmail link near the top of the window on the right.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

yes i've done that, what next?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

All the emails you have sent are there but none of todays or last weeks are, they are not able to be recovered , they just vanished.

Expert:  Joel Kalman replied 2 years ago.
If they are not on the gmail server, i do not know any way for you to recover them. I do not know what happened to them. I am sorry to say than I cannot help you with this. I am going to opt out and let other experts help you.

Okay Joel, thank you for trying.

Does that mean someone else from Just Answer will try to resolve this for me?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Thank you for trying Joel.

Will someone else from Just Ask try to resolve this for me?

Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
Hello,
I will be the person helping you today.
I can see that you may need a little bit of extra help.
May I ask if you still need help with this problem? If so, may I start a screen sharing session on your computer and help you resolve the problem?
Once the remote session begins, we will be able to communicate via a chat window on your computer.
Thank you,
Jason

Hello Jason,
Yes I need more help with this. I would like to try to resolve it without spending any more money. My devises are not bang up to date tec wise.
I feel it has something to do with downloading an up grade on my iPhone - it has taken much space and changed many features.
Expert:  Jason Jones replied 2 years ago.
Hello,
Any update to your iPhone would not cause this. I offered the remote as a favor to you because most people prefer that route.
May I ask how it is that you wish to continue?
Thank you,
Jason
