I cannot connect to my Hotmail email account or any

Resolved Question:

I cannot connect to my Hotmail email account or any Microsoft website, though I can connect to others. When I try a message comes up to say I'm not connected to the internet which I certainly am. It used to say that some of my internet protocols are missing, but I haven't seen that message for some days now.

That's the remote support program. When the SmartScreen Filter is showing blocked, is there any option / setting to allow it?

When you are on the Internet, click on the gear icon at the upper right corner, then select option Safety, then click on option Turn off SmartScreen filter, then make sure option turn off is selected, then click OK, then try the website below again:http://www.wikisend.com/download/191606/Please let me know. I haven't had a Toolbar since Windows 10 downloaded so no 'gear' icon is there. I have seen Safety somewhere in my efforts to sort problem out myself but cannot find it now.

In the Microsoft Edge program, click on the 3-dot icon at the upper right corner, then click on Settings, then click on View Advanced Settings. Then scroll down, Then scroll down to the bottom under Privacy and Services and turn off Help protect me from malicious sites and downloads with SmartScreen Filter, then try the website below again:http://www.wikisend.com/download/191606/Please let me know.
