Per our conversation, we can continue another time. Here are the instructions:

STEP 1:

- Press and hold the Power on / off button on the phone, then select the Restart option and confirm Restart.

STEP 2:

- On the phone, go to the BT.com website www.bt.com

, then select Email option there, then enter your btinternet email address and email password, and log in, and see if your email works fine there first.

STEP 3:

  1. Open Settings app icon.
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Select Email.
  4. Select Add new account.
  5. Enter your email address and password
  6. Then click on SIGN IN at bottom.
  7. If that does not work, cancel it, then do steps 1 to 5 again.
  8. This time, select MANUAL SETUP at bottom.
  9. Select IMAP account option, and use these email settings below; make sure to enter correct spellings:

    IMAP / Incoming Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
    Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates) or SSL (SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS))

    Port: 993 (this should be automatically populated if you tick the SSL Encryption)

    Username: your full btinternet email address

    Password: your email password

    SMTP / Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com

    Port: 465 (this may not be automatically populated on selection of SSL, so you'll need to check this)

    Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates) or SSL (SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS))

    Authentication: PLAIN

    Username: your full btinternet email address

    Password: your email password

  10. Tap on SIGN IN at bottom and check.

- If that does not work, please cancel it

, then open Play Store app icon, then type / search for myMail then install the myMail app

, then open the myMail and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your btinternet email

, when prompted, make sure to select Other / IMAP option, and use the same settings above in step #9

, then use the myMail app to access your email.

- If needed, try another email app CloudMagic or K9 Mail in Play Store.
