- Press and hold the Power on / off button on the phone, then select the Restart option and confirm Restart.
- On the phone, go to the BT.com website www.bt.com
, then select Email option there, then enter your btinternet email address and email password, and log in, and see if your email works fine there first.
IMAP / Incoming Mail Server: mail.btinternet.comSecurity type: SSL (Accept all certificates) or SSL (SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS))
Port: 993 (this should be automatically populated if you tick the SSL Encryption)
Username: your full btinternet email address
Password: your email password
SMTP / Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
Port: 465 (this may not be automatically populated on selection of SSL, so you'll need to check this)
Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates) or SSL (SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS))
- If that does not work, please cancel it
, then open Play Store app icon, then type / search for myMail then install the myMail app
, then open the myMail and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your btinternet email
, when prompted, make sure to select Other / IMAP option, and use the same settings above in step #9
