hi there my girlfriend is a full time receptionist in a hairdressers which she has been with the company for 8 months and has finished her probation period. she has just been sacked from work from taking a sick day, she informed her boss at 5am in the morning via text message then later on tried to call her multiple times but no answer! she then went in the next day, after a days work her manager then asked to speak to her. she said your sacked with immediate effect! surely this is not the correct procedure, they haven't followed any disciplinary procedure's ie. verbal, written warnings also she's only had 3 days off sick this year.
Basicly see if we could take them to a tribunal and if it's wrong in what they done
