I understand from my contract that I cannot legally work within the highways+transport sector within the first 6 months of leaving my current employer. I understand it's a legal requirement all sales employers hold to order to hold their client contacts, however as my potential employer said, they cannot legally prevent us from working? Would you need to review my contract to confirm?
Because I have developed client contacts, who essentially I am their only point of contact with my current company. If I was to continue working with my client contacts through another company, I could be deemed to be taking business from my current employer.
