I am Mysticdoc, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

I am here to help you with your concerns.

Mysticdoc :

Yes there can be.

Mysticdoc :

Panic reaction can be due to the excessive hormone secretions.

Mysticdoc :

Thyroid hormone, adrenal hormones ( steroid hormone), growth hormone problem can cause panic attacks.

Mysticdoc :

You need to get an extensive blood tests including serum cortisol in the morning, serum TSH, free t4 and T3, IGF 1 level, prolactin level.

Mysticdoc :

If there is any hormone iregularities, then that can be treated medically.

Mysticdoc :

Sometimes, pituitary surgery may be required.

Mysticdoc :

Also, I will also request to check for diabetes insipidus due to the excess secretion of the ADH, a hormone that comes from pituitary gland.

Mysticdoc :

This condition can cause electrolyte disturbances resulting in panic attacks.

Mysticdoc :

Besides the hormonal problems, underlying heart condition like irregular heart beats can cause these symptoms.
