Im trying to complete Form e and at section 2.17, it asks

Customer Question

I'm trying to complete Form e and at section 2.17, it asks for details of income on rental property which I have but I don't know if I should put in income before expenses or after? The property I have is managed by a letting agent and I've had to refurb a lot of it which has all eaten into the actual income received. So the figure before expenses will be very different to after expenses. What should I put?

Hi.

What is form E part of, a tax form, a tax credit form?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Form E is the financial form completed at divorce or to vary a consent order which reveals all ones finances from income to assets, pensions etc. It is a widely known form completed at divorce. Are you not a lawyer? if it were a tax question, I would simply ask my accountant.

Hi
Thank you for your question.
My name is Clare and I will do my best to help you.
In fact you should put BOTH in the left hand column as in:
Rent received from rental of 1 Toy town xxxx
Less Expenses xxxxxx
Then carry the balance to the third column.
I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details
