How often does he have the child overnight?

Not very often. At the moment it's probably about once maybe twice a month

Then he is underpaying you.
He should be paying something over £200 (assuming your estimate of his income is correct) - and this is AFTER making allowance for the other child.
I suggest that you ask to see his latest wage slip so that you can do the correct calculation - details here
http://www.nacsa.co.uk/index.php/cs3-calculations
and if he will not agree then you apply to the CMS
Please ask if you need further details

We dont speak enough to get a wage slip off him. So that will be difficult

Then put it in writing and point out that paying via the CMS is not viewed well by the forces
