If you have a joint critical illness policy with your ex partner

Resolved Question:

If you have a joint critical illness policy with your ex partner and it pays out on critical illness who is entitled to the payout? Is it 50:50 or the person who was diagnosed critically ill?
Thanks

Thank you for your question. If the policy is joint the proceeds of the policy are jointly owned, unless the policy writing states otherwise. I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
