I have moved in with a new partner and my ex is about to do

Customer Question

I have moved in with a new partner and my ex is about to do the same. We have a 7 yr old child. We are selling the house and splitting the proceeds. However, my ex thinks she is entitled to more than myself?. I was under the impression that she gets what she's paid off the equity which is £5000 in 2 years and the rest is split, is this the case??.

We were not married and the mortgage on the house is 42000, it is worth 215000 leaving 73000 equity. My ex has paid 5000 off of the equity in the last 2 years.
