A book was published in 1955 in both UK and New Zealand. The author, a New Zealand resident, died in 1967. Copyright in the book in New Zrealand expires at the end of 2017.
(The end of the year 50 years after the death of the author.)
What is the status of copyright in the book in the UK? Does it run for 70 years from the date of death of the author?
