I threw my husband out of the house in January as he had been having affairs we have a joint mortgage and joint loans does he still have to pay half of these still as he has not payed anything since January

In answer to your specific question he should be paying for joint mortgages and joint loans as in they are both your responsibility. You are both jointly and severally liable for the debts. However you can not make him pay if he refuses to pay. You may want to speak to the ex to have the mortgage and deeds for the property transferred into your name. This may be something which you would wish to resolve now. If you want to take over the mortgage in your name alone, your lender will want to make sure that you can afford the payments.
