Hello
Thank you for your question.
I am a solicitor and will assist you.
Please may I ask - what type of proceedings are ongoing - are they criminal proceedings or family proceedings?
If they are family proceedings - who is the applicant? Another person (such as the mother) or the Local Authority?
Kind Regards
Caroline

Hello
Thank you for confirming that for me.
You would be able to provide moral assistance and note taking but unfortunately you are not able to address the court on behalf of your son.
I appreciate that this is not what you want to here. Since the 2013 changes to Legal Aid - It is a frustration that many many parents have had to deal with. You son faces allegations that could potentially effect the time he spends with his child and he will not be able to access legal aid to have representation to present his case properly. The current system is very unfair.
