my ex wife has a restraining order against me but she has tried to contact me ,is this allowed?

Hi, thank you for your question. I am a qualified family law solicitor.
The usual terms of restraining orders (if they are against you), is that you are prevented from contacting her but not vice-versa. However, you would not be in breach if she does this.
If she is contacting you then you will need to consider whether it is appropriate to have the restraining order in place.
