My ex husband and I were co-habinting for approx 2.2 years

Customer Question

Hi
My ex husband and I were co-habinting for approx 2.2 years before marrying. So in total we were together for 11 years. He is 59 I am 55. His pension is work around £710K more infact as that was last years figure.
I am not in the bestest of health the but then he has said he is and had cancer to take out a kidney all no clear which is good. I have had my issues of thrombophphilia since early 20s. He has made a silly mistake and send a general form asking for What would should I expect that was fair and equal not mentioning dates of marriage but thats not my problem it has going to an acquary of his choice. I know I could have a pension sharing order and I think he has a lump sum when he is 65 and and very good requirement income.
He may choose to keep all of that but it is looking likely that a large part of the equity in the house could go to me instead of spousal maintenance as I don't earn anything like he does his salary is x 5 mine. I also put a lot of equity into the house, had an inheritance PPI monies which amount to what I would get on a 50/50 but would not be able to have any kind of house I have had in my past life nor keep with any but a rather poor standard of living when we were cruising in the carribean. He ran off with another woman and has been married three times I am his third wife. He scathed out really well with the others and his pension was never touched. Would you think he would offer to keep his pension in tact at this late stage and therefore where would that leave me in terms of offsetting and a clean break. He will also inherit well from his very old and ill parents who I moved up to be close to us to look after and I now his new partner has her recent's mothers inheritence too. . Difficult this one ???
