I have been served a summons to attend the magistrates court

Hi I have been served a summons to attend the magistrates court as a witness in a domestic case however I have retracted my statement as has the victim, there was no violence involved but there were threats to kill, if I do not attend is this likely to cause problems for myself and will they persue getting me attend?
