transit dual mass conversion wont engage? when i replaced

Customer Question

transit dual mass conversion wont engage?
when i replaced my dual mass with the single mass on my 2000 rwd transit the clutch will not "bite".

it just slips. as I am doing up the bell housing with a gap of about 5 to 10 mm i cant turn the drive shaft. but as i tighten the bell housing and the gap closes there is less and less friction on the drive shaft and i can start turning it. It seams the pressure plate is to far out and the release bearing engages Its driving me mad has this happened to any one else??

Hello.

Can you tell me what engine you have and what are the part numbers of the flywheel and clutch kit you are using?

Mark.
